This is our first blog as we prepare to release both of our 2015 and 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon wines to the public. It has been a long journey from our beginnings as home winemakers to being able to sell our wines commercially. We have always been told that the easy part is making the wine and the hard part is selling it. To that end we have enlisted the help of WineGlass Marketing, out of our hometown of Napa, to help us to market our wine for our direct to consumer sales. WGM has helped us to develop our website and will continue with us to help get our brand out into the public eye and into your wine glasses. We have also enlisted the help of Mike Simmons, who will be our outside salesperson, to start pounding the pavement and try and sell our wines. Mike’s primary focus will be working on getting Estee Hill Cabernet on the wine lists of local restaurants in the Northern California region along with locating opportunities for retail placements. Additionally, he’ll have an eye towards the future and potential distribution relationships in California and other states as well. It has always been the main focus of both Muna and myself to craft really enjoyable wines that highlight the terroir of this incredible area where we live. It certainly helps that the climate and soils in the Napa Valley are very conducive to growing Cabernet Sauvignon (as well as other wine grapes). We have been fortunate to have Dean Sylvester join our team as our winemaker and help us achieve this goal. With Dean’s extensive knowledge and history of making wine in the Napa Valley and his expertise in Cabernet Sauvignon, in particular, he has helped us produce these amazing wines for you to enjoy. We hope you will try our wine and enjoy what we have produced. We welcome your feedback.Welcome to Estee Hill
